This year marks the 190th anniversary of the birth of Khan's daughter Khurshidbanu Natavan, who occupied a remarkable place in the history of Azerbaijani literature, stood out for her devotion to Eastern poetic traditions, always wrote and created in this spirit, instilled love for people and faith in the truth, had a delicate lyricism and left a legacy rich in fine artistic colors.

She had a very high position among the Azerbaijani poets who lived and created in the 19th century. The fact that her name is always remembered with great respect and the high value given to her spiritual heritage was the result of the poet's literary creativity as well as her social activities.

She gathered leading intellectuals of the time around the literary gatherings led by her and had a strong impact on the development of the Karabakh literary environment.

Khurshidbanu Natavan was a person with brilliant talent and advanced ideals. She left a deep mark on the culture and public life of Azerbaijan. Khurshidbanu Natavan was one of the prominent personalities of her time, and was known not only in Azerbaijan, but throughout Transcaucasia for her  kindness and patronage. She helped the poor and built a water pipeline in Shusha.

Based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the celebration of the 190th anniversary of Khurshidbanu Natavan and the action plan of the Ministry of Culture, the staff of the National Library prepared an electronic database called "Prominent figure of Azerbaijani artistic thought - Khan's daughter Khurshidbanu Natavan".
