On the 3rd of June, the guests from Germany, Firishte Shahbazi, an Iranian-Azerbaijani, and Dr. Irine Schmidt visited the National Library. The director of the library, professor Karim Tahirov, received the guests and said that he was glad to see them in the National Library of Azerbaijan.

The Director gave detailed information to the guests about the National Library of Azerbaijan - its history, fund, international relations, and implemented projects.

During the conversation, the guests also expressed their satisfaction with being in the National Library. They noted that they always wanted to come to Azerbaijan and see its nature, culture and historical monuments. It was reported that during their stay here, acquaintance with "Heydar Aliyev Museum", "Nizami Ganjavi Museum", "Sheki Khan Palace" and other places aroused their great interest.

During the meeting, the director of the National Library, professor Karim Tahirov, presented the books "Azerbaijan National Library: photo album", "Azerbaijani carpets in world collections" and a special "Baku" souvenir to the guests.

At the end, the guests got acquainted with the National Library. They took a commemorative photo in the "Heydar Aliyev Corner", "Hall of International Cooperation", "Rare Books and Library Museum", "Open Library" sections of the library and got acquainted with the library fund.
