On June 8, in connection with the improvement of students' reading habits and the formation of a reading culture in them, the 3b grade students of secondary school No. 8 went on an excursion to the National Library.

First, the students got acquainted with "Heydar Aliyev Corner". It should be noted that in the corner, more than 300 copies of books donated by the Great Leader to this temple of science from his personal library when he came to the National Library are displayed.

Later, the students learned about the history of the National Library, working regime, electronic library and electronic catalog system, "Azerbaijani Literature Archive", "Students and Youth Hall", "International Cooperation Hall", "Children's Room", scientific halls and exhibition hall of the library. 2023 - Year of Heydar Aliyev", "Shusha - the cultural capital of the Turkic world", "Our ancient homeland - Western Azerbaijan" exhibitions. Also, while visiting the "Rare books and library museum" department of the National Library, getting to know the oldest books preserved in the museum aroused great interest in them.

The students got to know the Open Library operating under the National Library, especially the Children's Corner located there.

At the end, a commemorative photo was taken. Students left the National Library with unforgettable pleasant feelings and wished to be readers of the library as students in the future.
